Thanks For Listening

Thanks for checking it out. I am playing first flute for all of these pieces. The concert is in Janurary and I cannot wait. I could find all pieces, except Red River Valley. Thanks for all your support! - Han

Imperium

This is a good dramatic piece. Very easy to play. I think its also really pretty towards the middle.

Excelsior!

I really like this piece, it's a concert march, so it changes key from major to minor. Plus I find it very peppy :) Just copy and paste, the link, and then look for streaming audio. Then click play recording. It was a very pretty light show to watch while it plays. Don't forget I'm a flute :) - Han

Stampede

I personally don't like this one as much as the others. I'm not a huge fan of stomping my feet. Just copy the link, then scroll down the page and look for the streaming audio section. Then press play.

Shaker Variants

This has to be my very most favorite of them all. It contains selections from the Galaway Piper. I will be playing the first flute parts throughout this song. Let me know what you think :)

The Final Touch :)

Now that you've seen pictures of everyone's gingerbread houses, vote and leave comments on whose house you think is the best. :) I like all of them to be honest. I had so much fun tonight!

Anna's Gingerbread House

Last, but most definetely not least. My bff Anna's gingerbread house. I loved Anna's house because it's very unique and creative. :)) Anna's masterpiece won Most Lopsided, Most Likely to Have Thrown Away Directions, and Grand Champion. If I were a gingerbread person, this house would be the first one I buy. :) Sorry for the quality of the pictures :)

My Gingerbread House

Here are the pictures to my gingerbread house. I think mine is pretty plain. But my favorite part is the snowmen I piped on. It was originally supposed to be a fleur de lis but I messed it up and it somehow turned into snowmen :) I won the award for best craftmenship. Which is basically because I copied the Box (you can see in the background that it looks just like it :D). Sorry for the quality of the photos.

Cassidy's Gingerbread House

Here's my bff Cassidy's gingerbread house. I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures, they're downloaded through my cellphone. Cassidy won the award for Most Creative. And you can definetly see why. I absolutely love her choice of arrangement of sprinkles. We can all agree that it looks AMAZING!

2nd Annual Gingerbread Extreme Home Makeover

Welp folks, tonight, November 27th, 2010, was the night selected for the 2nd Annual Gingerbread Extreme Home Makeover. The contestants this year were non other than my bff's Anna and Cassidy and I. It was going to be tough, but I am staying up late to get you the deets. The results are as follows, Anna is The Grand Champion Designer, and Cassidy and I were tied for second. The catergories were Most lopsided, Most likely to have thrown the directions away, most creative, best craftmanship and the head chalupa to it all, Grand Champion. I downloaded the pictures from my cellular and I will do an individual post for each one of us. Oh it was a good night. All I can say is bring on next year! - Han =P

What I'm Thankful For!

Yayyy! Happy belated Turkey Day everybody! Just so you know, I love black friday (and if youre a kmart person, blue friday) but I did not go shopping this year. I had things to do :) But moral of the story is. I'm thankful for so many things. The lord has blessed me with so many things. And I'm so happy I got to share this opportunity with others. Whether it was Project SKH or The Student Council Thanksgiving dinner my school puts on every year for those less fortunate, or whether its Mission Angel, where we buy gifts and food for those who are needy in the community. I love the feeling it gives me when I do this. I feel like such a better person. I'm also very thankful for some people who have come into my life in the past few years. I have amazing friends and peers. Thankyou everyone!

My New Television Obsession, Move Over Glee!

Ok My brother recently got me started on a television series called mad. It's hilarious, it airs on Cartoon network every monday night at eight thirty. I will try and post some clips!

- HA HA Han :)

My Life As Han :)

Welp, its been officialy two weeks since marching band is over. I have been experiencing withdrawal, but its going well now. At our last competition two weeks ago, we managed to come home with a celebratory 7th place trophy (Yay =D) and an excellent rating. So we finish off the season with four goods and one excellent. My band has only been a competition band for three years now (I litterly just found it out) and my director says this (excellent) that we recently just got is the best score we've ever had. We got an excellent last year too, but this one was higher point wise. Hopes for state next year are very high. I am signing up for pep band as soon as I get the chance, lol :).

WELCOME BACK HAN!

Good evening fellow bloggers :). You might be thinking, "where have you been Han?" Well the good news is I didn't die. Nor was I any place fun or exotic like the Poconos or Barrow, Alaska. I for the last month and sixteen days, have been somewhere no one wants to be.... THE DARK SIDE..... DUH... DUH... DUH! Sorry, I was taught sound effects make everything seem more interesting in any situation possible. But seriously, Band has eaten my life up from July 4th to November 1st. I am dusting off my blogs and getting back into the groove of things. So how have the marching jets and I do? Well, let's keep in mind we have one more competition left (so fingers crossed for state =)!) Let's just say it's been ok. We've recieved goods everywhere we've gone lately. We've improved, but we REALLY REALLY want state. It will be hard to get our three to a one, but nothing is impossible! I pledge to blog more once I get my free time back! -Han =)

MB 1st Competition Deets

One done, four more to go is what some would most definetly say. As the band and I traveled a good hour and a half to our first competition hot spot, we come home, not feeling amazing and not feeling bad. Our class was the biggest, with six bands. My band is a class B, does anyone know how they do classes??? Anyways, something very very shocking happened while we were there. NOT ONE BAND GOT A SUPERIOR RATING!!!! NOT ONE BAND AT ALL. I was very shocked by this, because some of those bands performances were worth more than a surperior. The Jets took home a 3/5 (Good) Rating. Which that is what I thought we would most likely get, but I was crossing my fingers for excellent. Although, I did mess up a couple times. Our theme this year is Rock On! Rock On! and our songs are Carry on My Wayward Son (Kansas), Open Arms (Journey), and Stairway to Heaven (Led Zepphlin). The flutes and piccolos have a soli in Carry on, and I totally blew the first part and jumped right in. I am still kicking myself for that. Everyone did a really good job yesterday. There were themes that ranged from Back to The Future, and Billie Joel (MY FAVORITE). Now we await next weeks lineup, with more work and excitement. =)

FASHION PICK: WHO LOOKS BETTER?

Ok You Gleeks and Bones Fanatics, its time for some voting/commenting. As you gleeks know, the beloved Rachel Berry, is played by Lea Michele. If you search for Season Two Spoilers, three weeks!!!! YAY!!! You know that Rachel is taking on a new look, BANGS! Yes! And as you bones fans know, the lovable, relatable, politicly correct Dr. Temperance Brennan (Bones) is played by the amazing Emily Deschanel. And She has bangs too!!! Your job as a gleek or a bones fan, is to comment and vote on who wore it better, Lea (left) or Emily (right). So hurry and make sure your favorite wins!!! - Han =)

MB UPDATE =)

Well, the marching band performed our first show today. I messed up a little bit, but heres reasons why that doesnt matter. There were only three, YES THREE, bands including us and the host. And let me say, this is the first, and the last time this next thing I'm about to tell you about ever happens, WE WERE THE BIGGEST BAND! Yes, our puny little 49 person band was the biggest. The host band had like fifteen people, and the other band had about thirty. I was definetly quite blown away by this fact. We were also the only other band to show up in full uniform, but it was like a billion degrees out, so I DEFINETLY do not blame those other bands. We looked good, but oh my golly it was burning hot. I would have much perfered to be in the summer uniform like everyone else. The other bands were soo good, and they were both soo nice. I wish I could have talked to them, but I never got the chance too. Everyone did an amazing job today, every band sounded AMAZING! I am actually more pumped for the season, when I reveiwed the tape, I honestly was really shocked on how good we sounded and looked =)

I already know that band is interferring with the premiere, because I can't watch it that night, but I have exfinity, so I can watch it the day after. SO EXCITED FOR SEASON TWO! =P

DCI

Ahh, DCI. A Marchers Dream.... For those of you who don't know what DCI is, I'm here to tell You =) DCI stands for Drum Corps International. But it isn't just drums my friend, no no no.....
A Regular DCI corps has Your trumpets, your baritones, mellophones, anything brass you name it. It also has a drum line, a field commander and a dance line/ colorgaurd. DCI is a group of select marching bands from as far as New Jersey to California that spend the whole summer practicing and competing in order to win the DCI world cup in August. The usual age of people in the band is 17-22. But some can start as early as age 13. Unfortunatly, NO WOODWINDS ALOUD =( My piccolo and I are very disappointed... This years winner was the Blue Devils! Congratulations! Every corps worked really hard and did a really great job. I saw a competition this summer, and i was completly blown away... I hope to be that good some day! =)

I'm A Gleek

Yes, it's true, I am a Gleek. From Rachel, to Tina, to Sue and Mr. Shoe and Quinn, I love it all. One of my relatives got the season one volume one DVD, and we stayed up to watch the whole thing. I am so excited for Season Two to air September 21st on Fox!!! I still havent seen volume two, and am waiting for it to go on DVD on September 14th. If I had to pick a favorite character, it would probaly be Sue Sylvester or Rachel Berry. Sue is so mean, but has a hidden soft side, but shes so funny! I love Rachel though, Lea Michelle has a beautiful voice!

Knitting Rocks!

Last year, one of my best friends started a knitting class at her house, Yarn Club. With many projects (two for me, to be exact) done, we have expanded =) I started a blog about a month ago on knitting! My best friend also has a blog too!

Here is The Link to My First Blog:

Hey There Han!
