Product of The Week #1: MAC Cosmetics

I thought this was a great first product review choice. I have used MAC all my life and I am in love with it. Their makeup is light and always works with me. It's great for people with sensitive skin too. They have hundreds of eye shadow colors to pick from that it could take simply three hours to find that "perfect shade of royal ocean blue." They have been endorsed by so many people ranging from Barbie, to Hello Kitty to Selena Gomez to even Lady Gaga. For all you wicked fans like me, they do the makeup that makes Elphaba's (the wicked witch) face green. Yep, even Idina Menzel. They're always coming out with new styles and colors so there's plenty to choose from. For my makeup, I choose a light, more natural look. But thats not all they do, you can get smokey, to bold, to just plain rainbow. I am very pleased with MAC and I will continue to keep using their products. - Han

Little Update, Little Time!

Hello there people of the internet blogging world, and welcome to my first post of January (I think I spelled that wrong, sorry!) 2011! I just want to tell you about some of my current goals for myself and my blog for 2011. Well yesterday was District Honors Band, and let me tell you, that is the best thing that has happened to me in a very long amount of time =), but I will explain that more in a different post =). But I plan on hopefully doing a weekly segment this year on products that I really enjoy. And since today is Sunday, why not start now? More about that in a different post too. But I have a lot planned this year! I recently joined my school's DI team, which has been a bast. Also more about that in a different post too! Sorry! And with honors band out of the way, (which I hope and pray I get asked to come back!), I have so much more musically going on in my life. Because I (stupidly) made it a dream of mine to attend a music program at a state university this summer, I have to compete in Solo & Ensemble in this coming April. Now don't get me wrong, I definetly am excited, but I just don't know how it will play out. I will find the link to my audition piece (a.k.a a six page solo) so you can hear it if you'd like. Feedback is always greatly appreciated. All right, I'll stop boring you with my life. =) -Han

Thanks For Listening

Thanks for checking it out. I am playing first flute for all of these pieces. The concert is in Janurary and I cannot wait. I could find all pieces, except Red River Valley. Thanks for all your support! - Han

Imperium

This is a good dramatic piece. Very easy to play. I think its also really pretty towards the middle.

Excelsior!

I really like this piece, it's a concert march, so it changes key from major to minor. Plus I find it very peppy :) Just copy and paste, the link, and then look for streaming audio. Then click play recording. It was a very pretty light show to watch while it plays. Don't forget I'm a flute :) - Han

Stampede

I personally don't like this one as much as the others. I'm not a huge fan of stomping my feet. Just copy the link, then scroll down the page and look for the streaming audio section. Then press play.

Shaker Variants

This has to be my very most favorite of them all. It contains selections from the Galaway Piper. I will be playing the first flute parts throughout this song. Let me know what you think :)
